Ogunquit & Moody Beach We are approximately 1.75 mile ride (5 minute car ride) to the gorgeous Moody/Ogunquit Beach. The Main Ogunquit Beach, Footbridge Beach and Moody Beach are each sections of the 2 mile stretch of “The Ogunquit Beach”. The Town of Ogunquit charges for parking during the day, however there is no charge after 5:00 (18:00) at the Moody & Footbridge Beach Parking Lots. The Ogunquit Trolley services The Main Beach & Footbridge. The Wells Trolley will pick up in the neighborhood just across from the Scoop Deck Ice Cream on Eldredge Road 3 minute walk to the trolley stop from either the 4 Bedroom Vacation home or 3 bedroom Cottage. 2024 Beach parking fees & parking lots https://ogunquit.gov/289/Ogunquit-Parking-Lots
Wells Beach parking lots $ 4 per hour 8am – 7pm Daily! Both House & Cottage are .75 mile or 1 kilometer to the Wells Crescent beach parking and 1 mile to Casino square at the end of mile road is free Please Note! no beach at the height of high tide for Crescent & Welll a Mile Road check the tidal times. This large lot is located at the end of the road by the Lafayette resort and is free. Atlantic Ave and Drakes Island still have beach at High tide. Wells Atlantic Ave & Drakes Island Beach Parking $ 4 8am- 7pm via credit card or coins. Atlantic Ave lot is a 7 minute car ride or about 12 minute bicycle ride. Wells Atlantic Ave parking is $4 per hour is charged to cover the cost for lifeguard protection and beach cleaning at the Wells Beach Lot and the jetty at Drakes Island. Additional parking is also located at the beautiful Drakes Island lot 5.5 miles away (12-15 min car ride) . Rates are $ 4.00 per hour take rte 1 north, right onto drakes Island Road. Wells Harbor A superb spot for families with young children! Free Beach parking! Boat launch, Boat docks, kayaking, fishing excursions, playground, pavilion, and free beach area and town Gazebo available for events and Sat summer concerts! Take RT 1 North through 4 traffic lights and turn right immediately after the Fire Department. Parking is always free and there is a small beach area, playground, boat and kayak launch, fishing and kayaking excursions plus Free concerts on Saturday nights in July and August! Here you can watch the lobster and fishing boats come and go, rent kayaks and paddle boards (or put in your own) enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach or in the covered picnic pavilion adjacent to a large playground.
Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Parson’s Beaches All three are about 15 minutes north. Travel North on US RT 1 for approximately 3 miles to the Maine Diner & Bull N Claw Restaurants, bear to the right on to RT. 9 You can visit these three beaches or visit the quaint seaport of Kennebunkport. York Beach A short 15 minutes South on rte 1 to US 1A you’ll find Short Sands and Long Sands beach. Pass through Ogunquit and follow US RT. 1 until you see a sign for RT. 1A. Follow RT. 1A and you will find the lovely town of York and its beautiful beaches: Short Sands and Long Sands. Parking for York Beaches is metered, $3/hour as of 2024.
